An accession number is the identifier the SEC assigns to a single filing — a string such as 0001193125-26-221769 — which points to that document and no other, permanently.
It is the shortest path from a number back to its evidence. Given an accession number, anyone can open the exact document a figure was read from, without asking us and without trusting us.
Every price Kanonstone publishes carries the accession number of the filing it came from. That is the difference between a benchmark and an assertion: a figure that cannot be traced back is a figure that has to be believed.
